Tips & Tricks
Handeling moisture - never wash your leather bag in the washing machine. If water spills onto your briefcase, blot (don’t rub) the moisture away with a dry cloth as quickly as possible. After blotting away excess moisture, allow the leather to air dry.
Storage - store leather bags when not in use. Keep out of direct sunligh and in low humidity. Store leather briefcases in a space away from heat, humidity, sunlight, and dust - preferably in a fabric bag and or box.
Extreme tempetures - keep it out of hot temperatures, especially extreme heat. Heat exposure can cause the pigmented finish to bubble and to peel away.
Freezing temperatures can really damage your satchel and the natural structure of its fibres, that give it strength, and make them brittle.
Scratches - scratches cannot be prevented, so if you don’t like the antique effect that scratches will give to your satchel then it’s advised that you keep it away from sharp or metallic objects and generally give it careful consideration when handling and placing it down on the ground, etc.
